Our Story
We’re Vandana & Manuel — a Sri Lankan–German couple who met during what was a spontaneous Eat-Pray-Love moment for him, and a quick holiday from Denmark for her. What started as a spark turned into a life together, and eventually, Nice and Curry Travels.
After making Sri Lanka our home, we started exploring the island beyond the usual tourist routes — from the fringes of Jaffna to hidden rainforests near Galle, from dusty gem markets to quiet hilltop temples. A small gem side hustle sparked deeper connections, and soon we were designing experiences for others who wanted more than just a checklist.
We built Nice and Curry for travelers like us — people who want stories, not snapshots. People who want to learn, taste, wander, and connect. If that’s you, you’re in the right place.
Why “Nice and Curry”?
Because Sri Lankan hospitality is always warm, the food is always spicy, and every new experience should be just… a little bit nice and a little bit curry (and spice!).
